Hi! Welcome, I am happy to meet you! My name is Amber, I am a wife to a tall man usually found in flannel and often referred to as a big gentle bear. Together, we live in the great North-Canada...Ontario to be exact. We live with our rescue pup named Ellie and a flat faced kitty named Mimi. Our little family expanded in May, as we welcomed our baby girl Piper June❤
I adore art, travel, fitness and working with children, and my passions have led me towards becoming a school teacher who has the pleasure of learning from children everyday. When I am not teaching, I am writing, planning healthy meals, hiking, exploring and dreaming up our next adventure.
Exploring the world locally and abroad has shaped my perspective as a global citizen. I share my perspective with the children I teach each day, and I plan to instill a love and appreciation for global awareness, mindfulness and diversity within our tiny little love. You will find that these values will be a reoccurring theme within my posts.
My writing began as an outlet that provided a sense of Balance within my life. I believe that it is a universal struggle to find balance between work, relationships and health, and often one (or even two) of the three gets placed on the back burner. Bird of Balance is a journey that I want to share with you. It is a journey towards becoming a mindful mother in an often unbalanced world, it's maintaining health and wellness for our families and sharing the success stories and advice we gain as we grow.
